Ahakista Regatta Sheep's Head Way

The Ahakista Regatta is a celebration of life by the sea on the Sheep’s Head peninsula, with a Hawaiian twist.

Well, you never do know what to expect next when you’re in West Cork!

Friday, August 1st:

Graham Norton Quiz Night.

Special guest Danny Battles.
SOLD OUT.
Doors open at 7.30pm, no admission after 8pm.

Saturday, August 2nd:

Hawaiian Beach Party.

Ahakista Beach Marquee at Arundel’s by the Pier, Ahakista.
Grass skirts and flowery shirts are a must for this fun-packed evening! DJ Ray will get you moving and then Nicola & Brian will play well into the evening with prizes for best dressed on the night.

There will also be a BBQ, Hawaiian-themed games and a full Tiki Bar!
€5 entry from 8pm or €15 return from Bantry to Ahakista, which includes entry to the Beach Marquee.

Tin Pub: Live music.

Sunday, August 3rd:

Ahakista’s Regatta Day is a family fun day out! Coastal gig racing, kayaking and swimming races, car bashing, the infamous raft race, crafts and produce fair are all highlights.

€5 entry includes bouncy castle, face painting, climbing wall, novelty races, obstacle course, water slide, Hawaiian raft race, greasy pole, swimming and kayaking. Bring your wet suit, bathers and a towel.

A disco for children and art competition will be on, with prizes for the best entries.

Tin Pub: Live Music.
Arundel’s by the Pier: Rubicon 6-9pm, Shavers Only, 10pm.

Monday, 4th August:

Jack Tobin Memorial Fishing Day Competition, 3pm.
Register on the pier on the day or email [email protected] and BBQ your catch afterwards.

Village Champions 2014, 6.30pm.
The towns of Durrus, Kilcrohane and Ahakista have competed all weekend for the chance to be crowed Champion Village for 2014.

Tuesday, 5th August:

A 45 progressive card drive will start in The Cabin, Ahakista, 9pm.
