A full day of baking, when we will cover many different types of breads, tarts, scones and cakes.
We will start the day with sourdough, saucepan bread, yeast breads and spelt. We will cover pizzas, flat breads and griddle breads. We will make different pastries, and, for lunch (when a glass of wine will be called for), we will make some of our interesting savoury tarts. The coffee machine will be on and – after you have been given a quick lesson in using it – you can help yourself to anything from hot chocolate to an espresso throughout the day.
You will leave Good Things with lots of baking treats to impress, a clear understanding of flour, a wealth of baking techniques and a sourdough starter.
Small class – no more than 8 people.
This is a hands-on practical course.
