Eating the Sheep's Head Way Food What's On
Free Gerahies Seaweed

Extreme Greens, Sally McKenna

Learn to forage your own natural food. Hear about a long tradition of seaweed use in Ireland and its nutritional benefits, with a guided walk along the shore, identifying and picking your own seaweed.

Sally McKenna author of Extreme Greens and McKennas Guides will speak on the heritage of seaweed as well as guiding participants on a leisurely walk along the water’s edge in search of seaweed. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Wear suitable footwear and clothing.

Open to all who wish to explore our native seaweeds. Anyone out there already with experience of collecting or using seaweed?

Let’s get the discussion going!
