beginner's feltmaking workshop ireland

Spend a day at a West Cork feltmaking workshop exploring the magic of the wet feltmaking technique in the beautiful surroundings of West Cork

This beginner’s feltmaking workshop, led by renowned feltmaker Christina Jasmin Roser, is for the complete beginner or for those who have had a go at feltmaking before and would lie to refresh and develop their skills.

On your day in my feltmaking workshop on West Cork’s Sheep’s Head peninsula – the most appropriate spot for holding feltmaking courses in Ireland! – you will sample different fibres, colours and techniques, and learn how to use a felting needle to create exciting surface decorations and designs.

You will also discover how a simple plastic resist can give a new dimension to a flat surface. At the end of the day you will have enough knowledge to make your own fabulous felt, and you will be going home with a couple of flat felt pieces such as a picture, a small wall hanging, or a piece which with the help of a couple of stitches can be turned into a unique notebook cover.

Book Now

To book this beginner’s feltmaking workshop costs €95 (with discounts for block bookings).
Price includes all materials used on the day, a fabulous lunch made with seasonal home-grown and local produce, cake, coffee, and tea.

To book, contact Christina Jasmin Roser on +353 (0)86 329 7493 or email [email protected]
