Drimoleague Eating the Sheep's Head Way Food Taste of West Cork Festival 2016 What's On

Pod Pairc pod seen through red gate

Drimoleague – the heart of West Cork, has much to offer – scenic walks, wonderful local food producers, a superb artisan bakery, a nearby craft beer producer and talented traditional musicians

Much of the landscape remains completely hidden and undiscovered by visitors. In this unspoilt and hidden oasis, Collins Centra host a Gourmet Walk which combines all the wonderful features of the region – food, scenery, drink, music – for a great afternoon and evening of entertainment.

Meet at Collins Centra for a starter of Collins’ artisan bakery sourdough bread , accompanied by Union Hall smoked salmon and paté to get you on your way. Walk a little. Pause along the route for Peter Ross locally grown strawberries with a glass of refreshing prosecco.

Walk a little to Top of the Rock Pod Pairc and sit down to barbecue steak or fish, Vince Collins’ locally grown potatoes, and salad accompanied with Peter Ross’ locally grown vegetables.

Indulge in a delicious dessert of Glenilen panacotta and Stag Bán craft beer from Ballyvourney, while being entertained by traditional Irish music performed by local musicians. Walk time approximately 2.5 hours, with chill out time (you decide … )
