Midsummer_Night's_dream

Chapterhouse Theatre Company presents Shakespeare’s best-loved romantic comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream in the dramatic outdoor setting of Carriganass Castle in Kealkill.

Let yourself be whisked away on a thrilling journey to the most magical of forests and meet star-crossed lovers, playful fairies and raucous travelling players against the backdrop of the castle ruins. Carriganass Castle takes its name from Carraig an Easa – the rock of the waterfall – and it’s a magical place to spend an evening and enjoy great drama.

Picnic with family and friends at Carriganass Castle on Thursday 7th August as you watch the play. (The Stuffed Olive in Bantry, and Manning’s Emporium on the road in from Ballylickey would be a perfect spot to stock up with great local treats). Doors open at 7pm with show at 8pm sharp. Tickets are available in advance from the castle or by phoning 027 66715 or 086 338 7277. Tickets will also be available on the night.

Ticket prices:

€17 / adult
€12 / child (3-16 years)
€48 / Family (2 adults, 2 children)
Seating will be provided but it is recommended to bring a rug/blanket for your own comfort.
