The Riptide Movement have a new album out and they’re coming to Bantry!
Ireland’s finest purveyors of Rock n’ Roll, The Riptide Movement, celebrate a Top 5 place in the Irish album charts and are currently on tour. They will play the Maritime Hotel for one evening only on Saturday September 16th.
More about the Riptide Movement:
Speaking of the success of the latest album, Mal Tuohy – front-man of the band explains…
“It has taken the best part of eighteen months to write and record ‘Ghosts’, a journey that began somewhere between the Caragh river and the Seefin mountains of Gleinbeigh. The album came to completion in Tornillo, Texas, thirty miles East of the Rio Grande, under the guidance of Grammy award winning producer Ted Hutt.
We feel it’s our greatest offering to date and we’re so excited to finally get it out to the world.”
Having blown the Irish music scene wide open in 2014 with their Number One, gold-selling album ‘Getting Through’, a string of Top 10 singles and various sold-out headline tours, the four piece – comprising Malachy Tuohy (vocals, piano and guitar), John Dalton (guitar), Gerry McGarry (bass & harmonica) and Gar Byrne (drums & percussion) – will be coming to Bantry after a very busy summer of festivals in Ireland and all over Europe.
