Welcome to Goat’s Path Farm & Pod Park is a beautiful glamping park in a farm setting.

Its picturesque, rural location on the north side of the Sheep’s Head peninsula is a lovely family-friendly place, where you and yours can unwind on the West Cork coastline.

You will find luxury pods, equipped for all your essential needs, set into the landscape high above Bantry Bay, giving your the opportunity to take in views across the surrounding countryside and bay and the beauty of the Wild Atlantic Way.

The Sheep’s Head peninsula is a haven for hill walking and all aspects of tourism, with spectacular views and beautiful mountain top walks that are easy to access from the Goat’s Path.

The Pod Park features six fully furnished pods, each with a double bed and futon, a kitchenette & a bathroom consisting of a wash basin, and toilet. Five of the pods feature showers, and a shower is available at reception for Hillfield Pod. WiFi is provided to all pods.

The Pod Park’s communal building contains a wheelchair accessible toilet, a Reception/Retail area, a Laundry Room and a fully equipped communal kitchen.

The Pod Park’s campsite has family and small pitches available, all equipped with electricity, showers & toilet.

Walks around the Pod Park

Located just below the pods is a short river walk around our Fairy Forest.

Then above the pods is the Goat’s Path Walk, which is a steep long walk to the top of the farm with a stunning view point by day and star gazing opportunity by night.

This walk continues down the other side of our farm passed Glenlough Lake and returning once again to the Pod Park.

The main Glanlough Loop of the Sheep’s Head way can be joined whilst walking the Goat’s Path Walk.

Eagle Point Camping

January 13, 2014 by Dunmanus

Eagle Point Camping Camping & Glamping[/caption]

Eagle Point Camping is a four-star West Cork caravan and camping site in a gorgeous shoreline location in Ballylickey, near Bantry

The campsite’s beautiful location has a safe and sheltered coastline and numerous pebble beaches, making it ideal for water-based activities like boating, wind surfing, sailing, swimming and fishing. An on-site slipway also makes it easy to launch boats and kayaks.

Ballylickey village is stretched along the shoreline between the historic market town of Bantry – near the head of the Sheep’s Head peninsula – and Glengarriff: the gateway to the Beara peninsula and Garnish Island.

Eagle Point is just a short walk from Manning’s Emporium. Be sure to try the local cheese plate there!

Eagle Point is a great base for anyone interested in walking along the Sheep’s Head Way, and the friendly staff here will advise you on bike hire too!

At Eagle Point, visitors will find extensive facilities and a high standard of management. There are 125 pitches, and space for 65 tents and 60 caravans on the 8-hectare site.

The campsite also offers modern sanitation blocks, free hot showers, 6amp electrical hook-up, laundry facilities, a well-stocked supermarket and petrol station. For fun without ever leaving the site, there are also TV rooms, a small playground, tennis court and football pitch.

In the heart of some of the most spectacular scenery in Ireland, Eagle Point Camping is the ideal touring base for discovering the South West. It is within easy reach of Bantry, Glengarriff, Kenmare, and the Sheep’s Head and Beara peninsulas.

Dogs are not allowed at Eagle Point.

Top of the Rock Pod Páirc

November 1, 2013 by Dunmanus

The Top of the Rock Pod Páirc and Walking Centre in Drimoleague offers you a wonderful and unusual experience of glamping in Ireland with its luxury camping pods

West Cork glamping in an Irish farmyard setting gives you the perfect way to experience a holiday in the heart of West Cork. Guided walking tours along West Cork’s Sheep’s Head Way & St. Finbarr’s Way can also be organised here.

High above the village of Drimoleague, there is a spot where people feel compelled to pause and reflect on the beauty of the stunning landscape around them. The camping pods are perfect for families and adventure seekers.

It’s the perfect place for year-round camping in cosy surroundings, with a warm welcome guaranteed.

‘Barr an Carraig’ or ‘Top of the Rock’, has always attracted people – from St. Finbarr in the sixth century, to today’s walkers and campers – who appreciate the place’s power to touch the soul.

Now it’s become home to an innovative Pod Páirc and a state-of-the-art walking centre. The camping pod facilities – opened in October 2013 – provide year-round glamping opportunities for people who enjoy walking on West Cork’s spectacular and peaceful hiking trails.

The cosy pods are surprisingly affordable, and the Pod Páirc is a wonderful place to start making great holiday memories.
