Sheep’s Head Holiday Homes

August 31, 2015 by Dunmanus

Sheep's Head Holiday Homes

The Sheep’s Head Holiday Homes are set in Durrus, at the junction of the Sheep’s Head peninsula and the Mizen peninsula: ideally situated for a family holiday in West Cork

The charming development has a pleasant little stream running at its edge and is less than 100m from the village’s shops, pubs and cafés. You’re within easy reach here of the Sheep’s Head Way walking route and the beaches on the Mizen peninsula.

Pony-trekking, sailing, kayaking and bike hire are all on offer nearby, so it’s easy to make sure that everyone in your party has a holiday to remember.

Each of the Sheep’s Head Holiday Homes has a living room with gas fire and double doors that lead to the open-plan dining/kitchen area. There are also French doors that open out onto a patio area with outdoor furniture. The first floor contains one double en suite bedroom, a twin-bedded room, and a single bedroom. The main bathroom has a shower over the bath.

While staying at Sheep’s Head Holiday Homes, guests can visit the historic harbour town of Bantry, less than a 15-minute drive from the development. The town is home to historic Bantry House, craft shops, restaurants and traditional pubs together with a seafront promenade overlooking the bay. During the summer months, there are regular boat trips from the harbour that take visitors out to Whiddy Island and Garnish Island. This island is internationally renowned for its wide selection of plants and Italian gardens. Boats also go to the lovely Sherkin Island which has three sandy beaches and bicycle hire available.
